This traditional Indian Diwali lamp crafted from wrought iron, is known as a toran. These were made predominantly by the Bastar people of Madhya Pradesh. Typically left unadorned, this particular version is painted in the Rajasthani style.
This lamp can be hung on a wall simply by turning the feet in line with the frame. The feet allow it to also be used freestanding.
Historically torans were used as oil lamps, often featuring representations of hunters and wildlife. This beautiful piece is sure to bring a lively ambiance to any room in your home.
